Mainz Christmas Markt

Sunday afternoon (December 23rd) we drove (in the rain) to the Mainz Christmas Markt.  It was a rainy evening but a perfect Christmas Markt.  To top our evening off we ate at the "tree bar". A fun experience!

From Nürnberg we traveled to Rothenburg for another Christmas Markt.  This is a German town where we could live!

Saturday, December 22, 2018 Christkindlesmarkt in Nürnberg

On Saturday, Dec. 22nd we traveled three hours to Nürnberg, Germany for a fantastic Christmas Markt.  We first visited a German Gingerbread factory and enjoyed a cup of coffee and a gingerbread cookie.  After our experience there we first visited a cathedral and then went to the Nürnberg Christkindlesmarkt.

Trier, Germany Friday December 21, 2018 Christmas Market

Friday, Dec. 21 found us going into work with Trisha and wondering around the BX for the morning while Trish went to work for a few hours.  At noon we took off for Spandahlem Airbase to deliver some goods to a friend whose husband is deployed. On the way home we stopped at the Trier Christmas Market. Lots to see and even more good food to eat!

Thursday Walk in Otterburg

Today we again took a walk to downtown Otterburg for lunch and dessert at the Backeri.  Also went by the Abbi and got a few Euros at the bank.  First time for that and thankfully a young gal in the bank was able to help us!!
