Family Time in Branson, Missouri

This weekend, December 28, 29, & 30, 2012 found the Luiken family in Branson, Missouri. Friday we spent the afternoon and evening in Silver Dollar City enjoying the shows and the beautiful lights. Saturday we lounged around the condo, went shopping in the afternoon and then spent the evening "playing" in the recreation center. Sunday morning Tracy grilled our breakfast and then later in the morning we are planning to take in the "City" again. Having a great time with the family!

Weekend in Branson

This weekend we spent a couple days in Silver Dollar City enjoying the beautiful lights and shows in the City.  The lights are spectacular again this year and the weather was nice.  No snow but that was fine with us.

Christmas Open House

Saturday evening, December 15, 2012, we hosted a Christmas Open house in our home for our Adult Fellowship and friends.  We had a wonderful time with many friends, good food and fellowship.  As in the past when the Luiken's throw a party there is always some excitement. One year we had a fire on the dining room table and not to be outdone this year, our punch bowl (with ice and punch) exploded! What a mess - glass and punch all over the counter, cupboard, floor and guests!  Fortunately no one was hurt!  Despite this little incident we had a great turn out and wonderful time.
