Alaska Grandkids Visit to Iowa

These are some of the fun activities that we did with Andrew and Abbi during their visit to our home in Iowa this past week. Train ride on the Boone Scenic Railroad, trip through the Ledges State Park, a visit to the Reiman Gardens and all the Lego creations, and bike ride across the Des Moines River on the High Trestle Bridge. Then a game of HORSE with Grandpa, dinner on the deck and finally saying good bye at the St. Louis airport as they boarded their plane back to Alaska and home. A fun week with Drew and Abbi Luiken!

Boone Scenic Train Ride & Ledges State Park with Grandkids

Yesterday we spent the afternoon with Andrew and Abbi riding the Boone Scenic Train and driving through the Ledges State Park.  It was fun spending the day with our two grandkids from Alaska.

Grandpa's 75th Birthday

Today we celebrated Grandpa's 75th birthday here in Germantown, TN with family and friends at Kim and Art's home.

Visitors from Arkansas

This weekend we had a fun time with our niece and family from Arkansas. They are driving north to visit Grandpa and Grandma. Thank you so much for stopping in Iowa to visit us on your way north!

32 mile bike ride to High Trestle Bridge

Trisha and I decided to take a bike ride to the High Trestle Bridge today. Rode 32 miles from Huxley to the bridge and then back home. Tonight we are ready to relax!

We loved floating down the river, swimming, fishing, and swinging on the rope swings.

After a long day of swimming, we'd come back to the camper, clean, up hang around the camper, and have a delicious dinner!
